Tendonitis, Elbow pain, Frozen shoulder

Conditions like tendonitis, frozen shoulder and elbow pain such as Golfer's Elbow or Tennis Elbow, are common in our acupuncture clinic. People who have physical jobs like tradespeople, artists, movers and landscapers start to feel the wear and tear on their bodies over the years. Office workers, RMTs, lab technicians and grocery store clerks often have to deal with the effects of repetitive strain on their arms and wrists. Symptoms can include pain, swelling, inflammation, tingling and decreased range of motion. Acupuncture can help to ease the pain, decrease the inflammation and gets things looser and moving easier.

Typical treatment plan

For acute pain we often recommend an intensive course of treatment, usually 3 treatments per week for the first two weeks. This is often sufficient to get the pain under control. Depending on the location of pain we may also try some cupping-it's a great tool for sore and restricted shoulders and forearms.

After your initial course of treatment it may be advisable to continue with regular maintenance treatments about once a week to prevent a relapse. Especially when you are returning to the work environment that originally triggered the pain, it’s to your benefit to work some regular counter balances into your routine.

The Acupuncture Hub’s sliding scale payments make it easier for people to keep up with treatments over a longer timeframe since they can adjust their payments to suit them as they go.
